Redundancy & Outplacement Coaching
In the current economic climate there is often the need to make positions within the organisation redundant. This can be a stressful time for both the individuals concerned as well as Managers and HR who invariably support those affected through this process.
Redundancy affects individuals in different ways; the feeling of failure coupled with the inability to understand that it is the job that is redundant not the person. By providing a bridge between the employee faced with redundancy, and the current job market, a more positive attitude is achieved whilst maintaining and supporting the enthusiasm and commitment amongst remaining staff.
Redundancy Coaching is similar to Career Coaching with the exception that very often the initial focus is spent exploring any sense of loss felt by the impact of the redundancy and working through this in order that the individual can move forwards and explore fresh options.
The Redundancy Coaching & Outplacement Programme is tailored according to each individuals needs and comprises of an initial consultation where their current position is clarified, objectives specified and agreed, together with the time scales in which they would like to achieve these within. This is followed by 6 one-hour career-coaching sessions (either face to face or via the telephone) conducted over a specified period of time.Throughout the programme unlimited e-mail and telephone support is provided at no extra charge.
A typical Redundancy Coaching & Outplacement Programme includes some of all of the following component parts:
- Skills Analysis & Key abilities - Clarification of skills & strengths
- Diversifying into different markets - Including self- employment & business start-ups
- Career Change Strategy – Exploring new career change options
